Gull Lake!!
July 14, 2008Yeah, I am so excited to have the opportunity to work at Gull Lake Ministries this summer. Actually I will only be working the second half of the summer. Having gone to the 12 day orientation in June, I am looking forward to going back on Thursday for the real thing. I will be at Gull Lake until August 23… just in time to start classes on the 25th.
I was very impressed with the high standards that the camp holds its staff to. We are expected to work all week enthusiastically and practically nonstop until Friday afternoon when we get a break until Saturday at 1:00 pm when we begin the next week — with just as much eagerness, gusto and excitement as we had the week before. The emphasis is not on us but on Christ and how we can serve the campers as He would serve them.
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
